Champions League: Manchester United players facing 25% cut in their wages

Manchester United players can see that their salary will be reduced by 25% if they are not able to qualify for participation in the Champions League next season, UK Sun reported.

The contracts at Old Trafford are structured in such a way that up to a quarter of the salary is deducted if they do not earn a place in the competitions of elite clubs in Europe.

The salary cut is designed to protect Old Trafford equipment from falling revenues, which is due to missing the Champions League football.

Currently, United is in sixth place in the Premier League, and on Wednesday evening it will have a difficult task when they enter Barcelona in the Champions League.

It is clear that this may encourage Real Madrid to take a step for Paul Pogba.

The 26-year-old boy has two years left under a contract with United, which currently earns him £ 300,000 a week.
