Cristiano Ronaldo sends a strong message to Abdelhak Nuri

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo on Wednesday congratulated former Ajax midfielder Abdelhak Nuori on his 22nd birthday.

Ronaldo, who will miss the quarter-final match of Juventus in the first match with Ajax on Wednesday night due to injury, also wishes Nuori a speedy recovery from his illness.

The Portuguese captain announced this, congratulating Nuori on his 22nd birthday.

“Just to congratulate you [Abdelhak Nuori] on his birthday and wish you a speedy recovery,” Ronaldo quoted the Daily Mail as saying on Wednesday.

Nuri suffered a cardiac arrest during a preseason friendly match with Werder Bremen in July 2017, with the result that he had permanent brain damage.

“He received very bad news about the state of Abdelhak Nuri after the doctors at the hospital in Innsbruck woke him up from an induced coma,” Ajax said in his official Twitter message.

“Ajax is deeply saddened by the news that Appi Nuori was diagnosed with serious and permanent brain damage.

"Our thoughts and prayers appeal to him and his family at this difficult time."
